When I click on Project Name in Package Explorer with right mouse click, most of the menu entries are invisible -- Configuration Details -- Product: Eclipse 4.4.1.20140925-1820 (org.eclipse.epp.package.jee.product) Installed Features: org.eclipse.platform 4.4.0.v20140925-0400
Is there any exception or error in a log file (<WORKSPACE>/.metadata/.log)? If yes, could you attach the file?
Created attachment 247439 [details] Log after boot and right click on project menu Added a file log. I've deleted the old one then I've boot eclipse, then make two right clicks on project menu
Comment on attachment 247439 [details] Log after boot and right click on project menu It seems to be a bug in IvyDE. Could you try to uninstall it (if possible) and verify if it helps?
Ok, starting from a new installation it works. But adding a Liferay IDE the problem return. Before last updating the problem wasn't.
(In reply to Marco Volpe from comment #4) > Before last updating the problem wasn't. Do you mean updating Eclipse or Liferay IDE?
Created attachment 247463 [details] Error Log Same happened to a colleague and me after upgrading Eclipse to 4.4.1. Menu items disappear randomly in context menus. We both have IvyDE plugins installed. Also ant builds with IvyDE stops because of this ClassCastException mentioned in my attachment. After reverting the last Eclipse update back to 4.4.0 everything is working again.
Updating Eclipse. Liferay IDE wasn't updated
There is already an issue report on the IvyDE site: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/IVY-1487 Seems to be fixed in trunk. Hopefully, they will release a fix in stable version soon.
Marco, Wolfgang, thank you for your help! Closing as 'NOT_ECLIPSE'.
