build i1008, sun jdk 1.4.2, winxp

I have my settings set for my dev.eclipse.org connection to use a
pserver/anonymous connection for read access and an extssh connection for write
access.

In the Synchronize view when I select a resource to bring up the compare editor,
the resulting progress dialog says "authenticating over extssh".

Is this a case of it being mis-labelled or is it actually doing the wrong thing?
