We need to update the banner of PlanetEclipse to be more inline with the new logo and Solstice.
I originally thought that Planet could stay "as-is" since it's more of a community site, but I suppose it would look good with the Solstice theme.

> At a minimum we need to update the logo. You're right, I had missed that part. I suggest we use Solstice. In the future I will just +1 whatever you say.

Created attachment 245657 [details] Screenshot I have a patch ready but before we go live with this, we need a new planeteclipse logo. https://git.eclipse.org/r/#/c/30900/
Looks good! Just a nit, I think the breadcrumbs should be Home > Community > Planet Eclipse
(In reply to Denis Roy from comment #6) > Looks good! Just a nit, I think the breadcrumbs should be Home > Community > > Planet Eclipse Good feedback! I made an update to the patch!
(In reply to Christopher Guindon from comment #5) > https://git.eclipse.org/r/#/c/30900/ I can't access the review. It says not found or permission denied. Did you push it to planeteclipse.org/planeteclipse.org project in Gerrit? I didn't get the review email from Gerrit although I've configured Gerrit to do so for new reviews for 'planeteclipse.org/planeteclipse.org'.

Created attachment 245734 [details] Example logos for PlanetEclipse Here are some concepts for a new PlanetEclipse logo. Thoughts?
Created attachment 245735 [details] Screenshot with new logo (In reply to Ian Skerrett from comment #11) > Created attachment 245734 [details] > Example logos for PlanetEclipse > > Here are some concepts for a new PlanetEclipse logo. Thoughts? I prefer the first logo. I think it's the one that would work best with the Solstice theme. The Solstice theme looks better with a wide logo. Attaching an example of how it would look like with Solstice.
I agree with the wider logo. One thing that came to my mind is readability of the logo. Would it be possible to have the word "planet" in front of the regular Eclipse logo so that it actually reads "planet()eclipse"? Not sure if that works from a design perspective. Just a thought.

Graphically I don't think it will work. Also, we seem to have done okay with the 'planet' after 'eclipse' in the existing logo so I don't think it is a big concern.
Can we roll this out soon?
(In reply to Christopher Guindon from comment #15) > Can we roll this out soon? Once we decide on the logo, the Board of Directors needs to approve it. Are there any other comments about the PlanetEclipse logo?
Cool logo!
Seems like there are no other discussion so I am going to get Board approval for this logo.
OK, we can proceed with this logo.

Gunnar how do you want to proceed for making this live? Is anyone available to +1 the new theme on Gerrit? Do we need to do any manual steps to deploy the new theme? Do we need to copy the files anywhere or will it use the files from the git repo?
I +2'ed the review. Feel free to merge it when you are ready. :)
(In reply to Gunnar Wagenknecht from comment #21) > I +2'ed the review. Feel free to merge it when you are ready. :) thanks, Done!
The new theme is live :) I think we are done here? http://planeteclipse.org/planet/
I found an issue we should address before closing this bug Bug 442514 - Remove faces on extra small screens (Mobile)
I think we are done here. We can open new bugs to address any issues with the new theme in the future. Thanks everyone!
Thanks Chris! Great work.
