We'd like to use Sonar for quality reporting, please configure the Sonar plugin on the EMFCompare HIPP (as far I understood, it requires database password that we - committers - don't know). Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply. I was struggling making my findbugs/pmd/checkstyle/jacoco build work. It now works bu unfortunately, I can't push to the sonar instance. See https://hudson.eclipse.org/emfcompare/job/master-quality/lastBuild/console. I have no idea why this is failing like that.

This is not a problem with your setup. It's an intermittent problem with the current Sonar server. See bug 419172.

We're hoping to get this fixed in the process of setting up the Foundation managed Sonar instance per bug 438856 and it's dependent bugs.
