Description Oscar Lim CLA 2014-07-11 12:25:04 EDT
When adding the line:

**/file

EGit should ignore all instances of 'file' in every directory regardless of depth, but it treats the '**' as a single '*' and instead only ignores 'file' in all directories one level down.

Yes, that's currently a bug in JGit, see bug 416348.

It's not technically a duplicate (EGit vs JGit), but EGit will automatically get support once it's landed in JGit, so closing.
