Using Eclipse 4.4 GTK 3.10.8 (Ubuntu 14.04) GTK 3.4.2 (Ubuntu 12.04) 1. Go to Help > Installation Details. 2. Try to make the columns smaller: I doesn't work. But they can be made bigger. On GTK 3.8.6 (Ubuntu 13.10), the columns cannot be resized at all.
This is a potential duplicate of Bug 436098
I tried to reproduce this issue I am using fedora 19 with GTK 3.8.8 and ubuntu 14.04 with GTK 3.10.8. Here are my observations There is a minimum size set for the column width and the column width cannot be reduced below that. This behaviour I am seeing in goth GTK versions I am using. with 3.8.8 I am able to increase the size but cannot reduce beyond the minimum width. Can you please confirm the behaviour you are seeing is same as described above and can you also confirm whether it is related to bug 436098 PS: This behaviour is introduced in eclipse as a part of bug 424891.
(In reply to Sravan Kumar Lakkimsetti from comment #2) > with 3.8.8 I am able to increase the size but cannot reduce beyond the > minimum width. I can't increase the size on 3.8.6, 3.8.8 and 3.8.9 (built from source but running on Ubuntu 13.10). > Can you please confirm the behaviour you are seeing is same as described > above and can you also confirm whether it is related to bug 436098 On GTK 3.10.8 (Ubuntu 14.04) the behavior is the same as bug 436098. But on 13.10 the behavior is not the same. It's up to you if you feel that this could be addressed as part of bug 436098 as well then this can be marked as duplicate.
