Description Marc Khouzam CLA 2014-05-29 16:18:13 EDT
I'm using GTK 3 with 4.4 RC2.
While I drag an editor tab, my entire screen flickers like crazy. If I stop moving the mouse, the flicker stops; when I move it again while still dragging the editor, it flickers again.

I'm on Ubuntu 12.04, GTK 3.4.2

If I use "env SWT_GTK3=0" the problem goes away.

I tried back with M6 and I still see the problem, so it is not new.

I noticed that moving any view or editor causes the flickering.

I hadn't noticed this bug before because I was disabling GTK3 as it was causing too many problems. It is much better now but I noticed this bug.

I can reproduce this using Ubuntu 14.04 GTK 3.10.8 with Eclipse 4.4 I20140526-2000.

I can't reproduce this anymore with Eclipse 4.5. Can you?

Never mind. The flickering is still happening when using the metacity window manager. I think I was using metacity as well when I tested with 14.04. There is no flicker in Unity though (12.04, 15.04).
