The explore Eclipse committers page needs some love with the new solstice theme. Should we keep it? http://staging.eclipse.org/committers/ http://eclipse.org/committers/
(In reply to Christopher Guindon from comment #0) > The explore Eclipse committers page needs some love with the new solstice > theme. Agreed. > Should we keep it? I'm inclined to say yes. I wonder, though, does the content on this page belong on site_login, or does the site_login content (e.g. HIPP instance control) belong on the committer page?
Yes, we should keep it. I think we should just remove the graphic and align the icons to make the page functional for now.
I thought we had agreed that this page was not going to be taken forward with Solstice. We don't link to it from anywhere in the new design so I am not sure how people will reach it. As Wayne mentioned, I do hope a lot of this will be covered off in the My Profile page and/or the pmi. My recommendation is that we don't migrate it to the new theme and deprecate it.

*** Bug 461867 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
I think, we've decided to deprecated it. We have 2 options: 1. completely remove the repo from www.eclipse.org and create an .htaccess redirect to a similar page 2. Delete everything, keep everything as-is on the server and create a redirect in the index.php page. I would prefer #1 but #2 is a lot less work for everyone. Also, where should we redirect this /committers/ to? Perhaps /users/?
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. -- The automated Eclipse Genie.
Moving to git and assigning to webmaster.
We are now redirecting /committers to /users. -M.
(In reply to Eclipse Webmaster from comment #10) > We are now redirecting /committers to /users. > > -M. Great! Should we delete the repo to clean up?
It's already been removed. -M.
