Created attachment 241237 [details] screenshot of splash screen With GTK3 from Kubuntu 13.10 the splash screen gets cropped to s.t. like 90% its real size as soon as the progress bar appears.
Niraj, can you please try this on your Kubuntu 13.10 and confirm the issue? Thanks!
I tried it on Ubuntu 13.10. This was not reproduced. We need to check in the kubuntu
Created attachment 241304 [details] Kubuntu 13.10 Eclipse Splash with GTK3 On Kubuntu there does seems minor difference in the size of Splash and it's background panel, for me the Splash didn't cropped, instead the background panel was slightly bigger than the Splash image with GTK3. Refer attachment.

Yes, SWT_GTK3=0 does not exhibit the problem. The screenshot from comment 0 was taken with - libgtk-3-0:i386 3.8.6-0ubuntu3.1 - SDK 4.4.0.I20140318-0830
I agree with deferring post Luna, not a serious problem, this one.

On 14.04.02 using a recent 4.5 I-build the problem does not occur. => Feel free to close.
