Description Markus Tiede CLA 2014-01-17 04:54:06 EST
We should adjust our documentation:
 - UserManual - chapter "4.6 Testing Windows Store App AUT's":
  - "You must be using Windows 8 or higher"
--> You must be using Windows 8.1 or higher
  - "...the installation
must be in a folder with exclusive administrator rights..."
--> exclusive is definitely not the correct term (because other non-admins also require access to these files)
--> we should document the exact technically required rights e.g. at least for a en_US Windows OS; the best would be to offer a locale independent description

 - InstallationManual - chapter "3.0.2 Using the graphical installer":
  - "If you are installing on Windows 8"
--> "If you are installing on Windows 8.1"
  - "modernUI desktop" - I am not sure whether this is the correct term for these kind of applications
  --> "Windows Store Apps"
  - "exclusive administrator rights" - see suggestion for UserManual

and communication of problems caused by a incorrect setup:
 - e.g. I tried launching an Windows Store apps AUT on the g8 and I ran into two prompts / a crash after invoking start:
  - the Windows opened up a native security prompt for the nativ "winapps server" execution - which I had to continue with "Run" (If I hit "Cancel" the start AUT run continues running for at least 20 seconds)
  - after that I simply get an error prompt displaying "A referral was returned from the server"

of the pretty restrictive installation requirements for test automation.

If we don't e.g. add an auto check for all per-requisites being available I'd at least add all of these information / possible error-nous paths to the documentation.

We're currently no longer planning / working on adding support for this.
