Description Jon Rabone CLA 2003-09-04 12:40:42 EDT
I'm using 3.0 M3 with JDK 1.4.2 on Windows XP.

The Ctrl-Backspace key sequence is bound to "Delete Previous Word" but when
typed it actually performs "Delete Next Word" (which is correctly bound to Ctrl-
Delete). There appears to be no way to get the "Delete Previous Word" action to
actually do the right thing.

This is a regression from 3.0 M2, which worked fine.

I am also experiencing this bug with the same platform:

JDK 1.4.2, Windows XP and 3.0 M3

I discovered that if you go into the Keys preferences and type Ctrl+Backspace in
the Key Sequence input field, it displays as Ctrl+Del. Ctrl+Backspace is
correctly bound to Delete Previous Work and Ctrl+Del is bound to Delete Next
Word. This looks correct, but the actual keypress that is reported is incorrect.

It is interesting however that in the editor Backspace and Del work as expected,
just not when combined with Ctrl. Alt and Shift modifiers look like they work
as well...
