I wanted to know whether it is worth downloading 'Eclipse Standard 4.3' from http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/ . For that I looked at the detailed feature list on http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/eclipse-standard-43/keplerr . That list e.g. does not include the Marketplace client, which is definitely part of the package. As the name already says "detailed", I expect to see all features of the package in that list. I assume this bug applies to all packages.
Created attachment 234056 [details] Complete list of features
I think that this is a one-off for marketplace client, since the mpc feature is nested under the epp.common feature: https://git.eclipse.org/c/epp/org.eclipse.epp.packages.git/tree/packages/org.eclipse.epp.package.common.feature/feature.xml In general, the "detailed feature list" will show a flat list of the direct children of the package feature. That fails for MPC which is a child of "epp.common" unexpectedly. I'm not sure if there are other cases where nested child features are interesting and important.
See also bug 407303
There are also items missing from the BIRT all-in-one package, http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/eclipse-ide-java-and-report-developers/keplerr . I can provide an exact list if desired.
The MPC appears in current releases. I suppose this was fixed at some point.
