Description Michael Goldshteyn CLA 2013-07-12 11:11:52 EDT
This issue has been there since 8.1 as well.

To reproduce the issue:

1) Open a source file (e.g., test.cpp)
2) Press Ctrl-F to open the Find/Replace dialog
3) Type a search string in the Find edit of some text that appears in the file
4) Press the Enter key to execute the Find
5) The text is correctly found, but the Replace/Find button remains disabled

Variations that reproduce the bug:
1) If Alt-n is used instead of the Enter key in Step 4.

Variations that DO NOT reproduce the bug:
1) If the above steps are repeated for the exact same search string, the bug is no longer present. To continuously reproduce the bug, a different Find string must be used for each attempt. You do not have to close the Find/Replace dialog, just change the Find string.
2) If the Find button is clicked instead of the Enter key (or Alt-n) being pressed, the bug is no longer present.

I forgot to mention that after some text is typed into the Find edit control, some text should also be typed into the Replace with edit control, or the replace buttons will be disabled for obvious reasons. So, bear that in mind for Step 3 of my original reproduction description.

I can reproduce this on Ubuntu 13.04 and Debian 7.1 but not Windows 7 or Mac OS X 10.8.4. I can also reproduce in the Text Editor.
