To work on large files split-screen often is very helpful. Open the same file in another editor is the first way to do this... and because this needs you to grab the tab and pull it into position one should be able to double the tab rightaway, not the long way round Window -> New Editor. Why the change anyway? I mean it was in place and it was okay. Where are the forums discussing such changes? Thanks in advance, Christian
It has just been missed, it needs to go back. As a workaround use Window>New Editor PW
Paul, does removing the target milestone implies that this regression is not going to be fixed in Luna? Does it mean that Eclipse 4.x will never reach the level of usability that 3.8 had?
(In reply to Sergey Prigogin from comment #2) > Paul, does removing the target milestone implies that this regression is not > going to be fixed in Luna? Yes > Does it mean that Eclipse 4.x will never reach > the level of usability that 3.8 had? No. It means that there were other bugs that we will fix given the resources we have. We went through planning exercise http://wiki.eclipse.org/Platform_UI/Plan/4.4/Planning_Bugs and came up with http://wiki.eclipse.org/Platform_UI/Plan/4.4/Milestones PW
