The blog has some article and I am encouraging Chinese developers to share. On technical side, it must have RSS. What else? Please guide me.
Hi Paul, yes you need an RSS or Atom feed. Anything will do. Just post the URL to the feed here. Thanks!
Paul, have I missed the feed URL?
Hi Denis. The site is hosted on GitHub pages and powered by Jekyll. I have not yet found how to get RSS. The ball is on my side. I will update this thread with blog RSS feed URL as soon as I set it up.
Eclipse China http://eclipse-china.github.io/feed.articles.xml (may have some or 100% Chinese in some posts) There is also open-source Eclipse Node.js IDE http://www.nodeclipse.org/feed.category.eclipse.xml and Software Development DemoDays (November 23rd 2013) http://demodays.github.io/feed.category.eclipse.xml
Paul, We don't have a feed for Chinese blogs yet. Are you volunteering to maintain one? -Gunnar
Hello Gunnar I am organizer of Eclipse China, and contributor to open source projects The links were above. Repeat below (and checking each one more time) Eclipse China http://eclipse-china.github.io/feed.articles.xml (may have some or 100% Chinese in some posts) There is also open-source Eclipse Node.js IDE http://www.nodeclipse.org/feed.category.eclipse.xml and Software Development DemoDays (November 23rd/30th 2013) http://demodays.github.io/feed.category.eclipse.xml
(In reply to Paul Verest from comment #6) > Eclipse China > http://eclipse-china.github.io/feed.articles.xml > (may have some or 100% Chinese in some posts) Can't use this because of the Chinese content. However, we can happily create a separate planet for a Chinese community. That may contain not only this feed but many other Chinese blogs. We just need a volunteer to drive this.
Closing. Please re-open if you are volunteering. Would love to get Gerrit reviews for Chineese content.
(In reply to Gunnar Wagenknecht from comment #5) > We don't have a feed for Chinese blogs yet. Are you volunteering to maintain > one? I don't really know what load will be for that task. Could you explain or give a link? This actually would be great for Chinese users to have Chinese planet. Also those feeds above that are already created, please add them for English content. I will create new for Chinese content.
Bug 429107 - separate planet for a Chinese community was created. This issue is about http://eclipse-china.github.io/ previous post were mostly in English. http://eclipse-china.github.io/feed.articles.xml If old post will go into planet and it is needed to stay clean, then I will create special feed http://eclipse-china.github.io/feed.category.english.xml
(In reply to Paul Verest from comment #10) > Then I will create special feed > http://eclipse-china.github.io/feed.category.english.xml This feed looks empty to me. In addition the Eclipse-Planet engine does not support redirects (see the trouble with the eclipse-scout blog in Bug 444211#c7). Isn't your feed URL now: http://www.eclipsechina.org/feed.category.english.xml
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. -- The automated Eclipse Genie.
Unfortunately I don't spend more time for http://eclipse-china.github.io/ Closing.
