Use case: I'm in the java editing window, and I've got some little red marks on the right hand bar to indicate compile errors. I use my mouse to position the arrow cursor over the little red mark such that the point of the arrow cursor is over the red mark. But it won't "register" and change to a hand icon until I move the cursor up by a couple of pixels. I.e. the hotspot appears to be in the middle of the finger instead of at the tip of the finger.
Notes: - As of 3.0M9, this is improved but the bug is still there. - Note that there are 3 UI elements involved here. The first element is the normal cursor and it's hotspot, the second element is the area of the marks that is considered "hitable" and the third element is the hand cursor. Either the "hitable" area or the normal cursor are slightly out, because I have 2 move the cursor to about the top half of the "marker" before it changes to a hand cursor. This is primarily a problem with large java files (1000-5000 lines) where the marks become quite small, and I'm trying to navigate by using the various markers (bug, search, etc.).
Marking as dup of bug which contains more info. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 163769 ***
