Screenshot that shows the issue

This is only a cosmetic (display) issue - the search is still performing correctly. It may be confusing when using multiple search views to search for different hyperlinks, though.

Steps to reproduce.

1. Search -> File.
2. Enter a hyperlink like "<a href="X">Huh?</a>" into "Containing Text" field.
3. Click "Search".

Expected result:

In the search view, the headline should be "'<a href="X">Huh?</a>' - 0 matches in workspace".

Actual result:

In the search view, the headline is "'Huh?' - 0 matches in workspace" while the "Huh?" (without quotes) is rendered as a hyperlink (blue and underlined), but clicking on it does not perform any action.

Workaround:
The "Show previous searches" shows the search string correctly.

Attached screenshot may show the issue more clearly if my description is unclear.

The Search view's description is shown by a Link control. We need bug 396175 fixed first.
Comment 2 Eclipse Genie CLA 2019-09-25 15:37:34 EDT
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

The blocking bug has been fixed meanwhile, but the issue still happens in 2019-09.
