when entering a command on a remotely connected linux system
in terminal
pressing backspace hides whole line instead of deleting previous character

characters are not actually deleted only visually hidden

this behavior started after upgrading to

Remote System Ecplorer End-User Runtime 3.4.1.201302122026
Remote System Explorer User Actions 1.1.400.201301240456

is this a known issue fixed in TM 3.4.2? (not yet published in Juno update site)

Unfortunately it's a regression introduced between Juno SR1 and Juno SR2.

See https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=401386#c13 for a workaround.

We are working on a TM 3.4.3 release on the main TM update site, such that "Help > Check for Updates" will pull in the fix. This is tracked in bug 404341 .
