If I delete a UML profile in the Project Explorer it does not cause the profile to disappear from the Model Explorer. It also leaves the diagram visible in the Diagram View.

I suspect Papyrus doesn't delete the profile properly as I can still edit it in the Model Explorer and it suddenly reappears in the Project Explorer.

Upon restarting Eclipse my profile is indeed deleted but an empty diagram remains.

The associated editors are not closed when a model is deleted from the FileSystem. As they've already been loaded to the memory, they can still be manipulated from the editor. And when you save, they are created again.

To avoid confusion, we should close the associated editor when the model files are deleted.

It seems to be the same issue as Bug 317031: [General] Deletion of model resource (.di) doesn't close the editor
