Description Luc Bourlier CLA 2003-07-15 14:32:22 EDT
Build 20030715
Mandrake 9.1
GTK 2.2.2

The [Ctrl] key is not working in a lot of places. [Ctrl+F6] is no working.
[Ctrl+F11] behaves as [F11]. [Ctrl] to get the hyperlinks in the editors is not
working.

[Ctrl+B] and [Ctrl+Shift+B] are working fine.

>The [Ctrl] key is not working in a lot of places. [Ctrl+F6] is no working

The Windowing Manager uses some of these control keys and the application
never sees them. For example in KDE:

Execute Command = F2
Kill Window = Ctrl+Alt+Esc
Logout = Ctrl+Alt+Delete
Mouse Emulation = F12
Popup Launch Window = Alt+F1
Show Taskmanager = Ctrl+Esc
***Switch to Desktop 1 - 12 = Ctrl+(F1 to F12)
***Switch to Desktop 13 to 16 = Shift+Ctrl+(F1 to F4)
Window Close = Alt+F4
Window Open Menu = Alt+F3

>[Ctrl+F11] behaves as [F11]
Not sure what you mean here

>[Ctrl] to get the hyperlinks in the editors is not working.
We need to investigate this one. Need to know what event is being used here.

I know about the WM shortcuts, I'm using Gnome and I redefined those shortcuts
to use the windows key. I have no problem to use [Ctrl+F6] on 2.1.1.

[Ctrl+F11] is to run the last launched launch configuration, [F11] is to debug
the last launched launch configuration. It doesn't matter if I use [Ctrl+F11] or
[F11], the program is always launched in debug mode. In fact, it seems to be an
old problem, it's no working on 2.1 neither.

Do you have multiple windows open in eclipse? Could this be a duplicate of bug
40303?
Comment 4 Luc Bourlier CLA 2003-07-17 19:17:53 EDT
No, I have only one window open.
