This bug is spun out of bug 400482. We had some stale drives/bad data that was causing connection failures. As described in bug 400843, the project UI is not cleaning up all drives in some circumstances. When you get in this state, the only way you can see what drives are there is to point your navigator at the drives URL, such as https://orion.eclipse.org/navigate/table.html#/workspace/I/drive Then you can see what drives are defined, and you can delete any problematic ones. That's a neat trick, but we need to expose this to the user somehow. We don't want to put it in the projects UI because what's needed is a way to see all drives across projects. And this is really a more advanced mode. I think we could put a link in the LHS of navigator, near where we list Places, or perhaps in the list of places. We could have an entry called "Drives" that lists the drives. Then you could use navigator UI to manage them, delete bad ones, etc., or even do refactoring of the drive.
Closing as part of a mass clean up of inactive bugs. Please reopen if this problem still occurs or is relevant to you. For more details see: https://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/orion-dev/msg03444.html
