The Eclipse 3.5 release notes described that the SWT.SEARCH style is supported on all platforms, The SWT.ICON_SEARCH and SWT.ICON_CANCEL hints control the appearance of the search field.

We just tested this on Windows 7 and it appears that the search icons and cancel button is not displayed.
