When synchronizing with CVS repository, the top pane (structure compare) is currently a Tree. This tree does not utilize its full width. When catching up with changes, it is *very* important to know what the change is so it can be reviewed. For example, is it a JavaDoc change, or a bug fix. Currently, you must select the file, wait 3 seconds, right-click, Show in Resource-History, and find the release comment that corresponds to the revision you are catching up with. This is very inefficient. The preferred way for me would be to see a TableTree widget. The additional columns would display who released the incoming change, and the release comment. That way, unimportant changes like whitespace and comments can be ignored, and code changes can be reviewed.
I agree with the frustration. We are already working on a replacement for the sync view that will pretty much have what you describe plus much more! Look for the first cut in the 3.0 M2 build.
Table view is in new sync view but we haven't added showin of incoming comment/username yet. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 11426 ***
