Description Gary Karasiuk CLA 2012-06-28 12:12:40 EDT
Build Identifier: Version: 4.2.0 Build id: I20120608-1400

When you follow a reference (for example by pressing F3 on a method name), the new editor that opens is positioned incorrectly.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use F3 on a method name, where the reference is in a different file, and that file is not open.
2. Observe that the scroll bar in the new editor, is positioned incorrectly. The scroll bar will indicate that the editor is at the top of the file, when in fact the editor could be displaying the middle of the file.
3. Move your scroll wheel (just slightly) and the editor will jump to the top of the file.
Comment 1 Gary Karasiuk CLA 2012-06-28 12:15:22 EDT
I made the severity of this defect Major because:

1) following references is a VERY common operation.
2) and using a scroll wheel is a VERY common operation.
Comment 2 Gary Karasiuk CLA 2012-06-28 12:17:52 EDT
It is not just F3 that doesn't work correctly. Other operations like:

Command-Shift-G and then following references through the Search view also position the editor incorrectly.
