You can no longer add views or placeholders with secondary IDs using IPageLayout in your perspective factory.

IWorkbenchPage.showView(*) does it using org.eclipse.ui.internal.WorkbenchPage.SECONDARY_ID_HEADER as a header to a tag, along with specail calls to partService.createSharedPart(*)

Eric, is this aided by the work you did on secondary IDs, or do we still have to set up the model correctly in the IPageLayout implementation?

Paul, I've tried the scenarios on the various DUPs and all seem to be working OK, perhaps we should just mark this one FIXED ??

OK, if this now works either mark it as a dup of one you've fixed or mark it fixed and reference the main bug.

This should be fixed by the work done for bug 401709.
