Apply Patch does not report change or error if leading whitespace is cropped.

I ran into this due to a bug in Firefox: when one copies the diff text of a Git commit from the Git webpage, e.g.
http://git.eclipse.org/c/cbi/eclipse.platform.text.git/commit/?id=449fac0b6bca86cb839deb57f948dbb3b1cccb50
and then pastes it, all the leading whitespace is lost.

Applying such a patch confuses the wizard:
1. it no longer reports any change
2. 'Finish' is enabled but clicking it results in no change
