Description Ed Willink CLA 2012-06-08 08:02:19 EDT
Juno RC3: I'm seeing three repository not found messages from P2:

http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/emf/cdo/updates/3.0-releases/
http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/emf/teneo/updates/1.2.0/releases/
http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/uml2tools/updates/releases/

these may all be found in a compositeArtifacts1103884537.xml whose title is "Eclipse Modeling Project Release Site - Artifact Repository"

Examination of other entries suggests that almost all entries are wrong; just surviving because projects have not removedc stale repos.

Could you be more specific, where do you see those messages ?
When doing what ?
Comment 2 Ed Willink CLA 2013-05-28 12:26:15 EDT
I suspect it was in P2.

If you use Wireshark while doing a P2 install you will see a phenomenal number of 404's from stale repos.

I missed this bug which is quite old already so I guess it might be quite hard for you to remember, but was there anything more than the already included features in your package ?

I guess these messages are coming from the <url> tags one can put in the features and it could be helpful to track those for the individual projects especially if they refer to non-existing sites.

We can't do much for Juno now, so I tried on Kepler.

I tried with CDO and ATL, I had no p2 message.

Feel free to re-open if you notice something on kepler though the more appropriate way to fix these issues is to open a bugzilla on the offending project.
