I20030520 MacOS X The default font used for the tree viewer in the Preference dialog results in bad character spacing and too wide line spacing and makes the tree look very ugly. This is in contrast to the tree viewers used in the Navigator and the Package Explorer: both have no such problems and look nice (see attached screenshots). I've tried to change the DialogFont in order to match the font used in the Navigator, however, I couldn't find the correct font. In addition, if I change the DialogFont to something that looks nicer in the preference tree, this affects all dialogs (which I don't want). I suggest to use the same font for trees in dialogs as it is used in the Navigator. Please note: on MacOS X the platforms provides no means to change fonts globally. So Eclipse must come with good looking font settings because the user cannot change them outside of Eclipse.

The font in the Navigator is the default font of the Tree/Table/List widgets. I believe the workbench is changing the font of the widgets in the font dialog. I am not sure which font it is using. I'll investigate.
