I have my open-mode set to open on single-click (instead of double-click) and
select on hover.

When I navigate through a list/tree of items, the select-on-hover selects when
I put the mouse anywhere in the same vertical line, rather than just on the word
itself. Furthermore, the auto-select also occurs when the mouse is in the 
scrollbar, instead of in the scrollable view area.

Ideally, I'd like the auto-select to only trigger when the mouse is over a word,
rather than the whole line, but it should definately not select it when the
mouse is hanging around in the scrollbar.

The mouse hover causes auto selection in any of the places 'x' in the ASCII
art below:
