As Susan suggested I used explorers for the new git status page sections. There are some problems with explorers widths and action sections alignments though. I'll attach a screenshot.

i need to ensure that folks can style their own column layouts in explorers.  We'll have this issue also for favorites, search list...other places where we are moving to an explorer model to get the selection behavior.

Can I make this a dup of bug 379237 which also mentions this issue?
I think these item level commands will go away anyway and we'll just use selection and section toolbar.

Anton did some tweaking here, but it's still not fully right aligned.

I also removed hardcoded widths for compare widgets. Now they fill whole horizontal space.
