The comparator for the "final mirroring" task is based on a number of variables but eventually boils down to something like

http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates/4.2-I-builds (for an I build) 

Now that we are on build.eclipse.org, we could use 

file:///home/data/httpd/download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates/4.2-I-builds

for improvements in speed and reliability (since the "internal" build-to-eclipse http communication sometimes breaks (rarely, like once a month or two). 

But, will take some work to "fix" and test in such a way as to be sure not break other things.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

If the bug is still relevant, please remove the "stalebug" whiteboard tag.

With new infrastructure we will not have access to file:///home/data/httpd/download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates/ from JIPP. So marking wontfix
