When I try to compare java file which has "Keyword mode" set to -kkv with version from another branch where it is set to -ko Eclipse shows it in tree, diff doesn't explain any differences and there is no information about reason of explaining file in the tree. When I choose "Copy All Changes From Right to Left" file doesn't change "Keyword mode" to -ko (nothing changes). Maybe this should be an option in Prefernces window ("ignore keyword mode" and "update keyword mode on comparison" for example) ? Kuba Królikowski

Would it make sense to show these kinds of (non-content) differences in some "attribute difference viewer"? Moving to VCM for comment.
Yes, this could be helpful. But much important is the information, why file is showing in comparison tree, if there are not any differences in contents. In my opinion "Copy All Changes From Right to Left" should copy attributes too.
