Some UI issues regarding menu/toolbar/icons

(1)
The menu has gray background while toolbar has blue one (see image).
Changing the style will not fix the problem.

(2)
The inactive icons for Save, SaveAll, Print looking corrupt on coloured backgrounds

(3)
The upper left corner of the perspective tab looks, together with the gray background a little bit confusing.

(4)
The "link-button" uses a different design.

Problem (1) should be solved as early as possible, because I cannot change it in my own RCP applications!?
If you've a workaround, the other points have a much lower severity.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. pure e4 (M4+M5) installation without any extensions

We can't do anything here. This is an OS limitation.

That's bug 350230.

There's another bug open about this already I believe.

I cannot reproduce this problem with I20120126-1300 on Windows 7. See bug 366246.

Just to be clear, this was not possible in 3.x either.

Hi Remy,

just to make it clear for me and further product planning
(1) and (4) depending on Windows XP?
I hope that we will develop mainly for Windows 7, but I know we have customers with XP. And our QA won't be happy to see that menu bar ;-)
You are right, in 3.x this might be the same, but the default style was gray in lighter gray, so the menu bar was not affected by the different colours.

have a nice day
Oliver

1 is a limitation on Windows itself I know. Not sure about other windowing systems like GTK+ and Cocoa.

As to 4 I feel that should be fixed in I20120126-1300 and up. It is certainly fixed in Windows 7 anyway as I cannot reproduce the behaviour.

Then you should define a different stylesheet so that it is also a "lighter gray".

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

If the bug is still relevant, please remove the "stalebug" whiteboard tag.
