Build Identifier: Version: Indigo Service Release 1 Build id: 20110916-0149 When selecting text in the tooltip pop up in the JDT Java editor (Shortcut F2 -> Java Doc Pop up) and setting the focus back to the editor the cursor does not get rendered in the editor anymore. The current workaround is to select a different view/editor and set the focus back to the original editor then the cursor appears again. We tested it on Windows 7 with the following IE versions: IE 8.07 -> ok IE 9.04 -> bug IE 9.08 -> bug We could not reproduce the problem under Ubuntu. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download latest Eclipse IDE for Java developers 2. Create a new Java project with a simple Java class + a main method 3. Move mouse cursor over the method name 4. Java Doc Pop up for main method appears 5. Select a piece of text with the mouse in the pop up window 6. Set focus back to editor -> Cursor does not get rendered anymore
Grant, this happens on my machine (windows seven). Is this a known IE bug ?
I have the same problem with Arch Linux (4.7.4)+i3.
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
