Working Groups
We have a fairly large research group at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign working on refactorings. Recently, we developed a data collector called CodingSpectator <http://codingspectator.cs.illinois.edu/> and used it to study programmers' use of various features of JDT. We have published the results of our study and suggested improvements to the JDT team in the form of bug reports. Deepak Azad, who is a JDT committer, has reviewed most of our bug reports (See <http://blog.deepakazad.com/2011/12/codingspectator-research-study-on.html>) and encouraged us to start a blog and aggregate it into Planet Eclipse. We started our blog a while ago at <http://codingspectator.cs.illinois.edu/Blog>. Would you please add the feed at <http://codingspectator.cs.illinois.edu/Blog/PlanetEclipse/rss.xml> to Planet Eclipse?
+1.
We regularly conduct experiments on IDEs, report the results of our experiments, and develop new software development tools. Most of our tools are integrated in Eclipse. We would love to have a closer collaboration with the Eclipse community. Aggregating our blog in Planet Eclipse will make it easier to get invaluable feedback from professional programmers on our work and transfer our results from academia to industry. Would you be able to add the feed of the CodingSpectator blog <http://codingspectator.cs.illinois.edu/Blog/PlanetEclipse/rss.xml> to Planet Eclipse?
Ping!
Done, sorry for taking so long!
