While I was playing around with fixing bug 368896, I found that there is another way to add a duplicate favorite (originally described in Bug 349785).

To reproduce: 
1. In the navigator, click on the '+' icon next to 'Favorites'
2. In the text box that appears, type 'http://eclipse.org'
3. repeat

There are now duplicate entries.

I'll take a look at this.

Best to just work in the original bug and ensure that whatever request gets submitted fixes all the cases...will make my bookkeeping much easier.
