Description Ingo Mohr CLA 2012-01-13 04:20:23 EST
Build Identifier: 0.8.1.v20110907-0857

Currently you have to know how Graphiti includes support for property views (via org.eclipse.ui.views.properties.tabbed.propertyContributor and the corresponding category name).
It would be better if Graphiti would provide its own extension point(s) to add property views - it might be only for "delegation" purposes, but it would be more transparent to the developer.
Otherwise: pls improve the documentation.

Reproducible: Always

Since the Graphiti framework focuses on providing the stuff needed for working with diagrams and leaves the rest to Eclipse (plus other projects), it would not really fit into the concept to re-provide an Eclipse extension point.
But right, the documentation in this area is really not enough, this should be improved.
For the time being there is some basic documentation on our FAQ: http://www.eclipse.org/graphiti/developers/faq.php (section "How do i build an editable property sheet?").

Not required anymore for our work.
I suggest to close this as "outdated" or "won't do".

Thanks for the discussion, anyway :)

Thanks Ingo for the update. Since there are no further requestors, I do as you suggested.
