Description Lars Vogel CLA 2012-01-12 05:20:53 EST
In the latest Eclipse 4.2 integration build the PDE Wizard does not offer 4.2 as a target for the existing

Is it planned to enhance the PDE wizard?

I believe if the PDE editor would be extended for the existing templates it need to create a product file and add the compatibility plug-ins.

There isn't enough committer time available to work on a proper fix for this, but we will need to decide what we want to do with the target selection in the new plugin project wizard for 4.2.

For M7 there is a new choice of '3.5 or greater'. I think this is all PDE realistically needs to worry about for 4.2. Closing as FIXED.

If there was time it would be beneficial for PDE to provide APIs for creating the UI/wizards for creating a plug-in project. e4 tooling uses the internal wizards and PDE already has API for creating project's programattically.
