With the neweset nightly opening bigger Xtend files causes Eclipse to hang endlessly. I tested a file > 500 loc and waited 2 hours.

I'm not able to give you a reproduable testcase as my project is to big, but maybe that info makes you aware there is a new problem at all ;-)

Reproducible: Always

This bug is for all 2.3 version.
I can really not figure out what it is as it will crash my eclipse on opening an xtend file.
I've outcommented the methods, then it will open but when I uncomment a bigger method it will crash again.

Please note that this class will work fine in 2.2.1!

I will try to find the lines causing the endless loop (cpu is 100%)

Would it be possible for you to send the problematic project attached to a mail?
Comment 3 Ingo Meyer CLA 2012-01-15 11:54:15 EST
I'm afraid that this will not be possible so easy, as the project consist of over 60 bundles.
I will try to identifiy the lines and than i can see which bundles and classes are involved.

After some weeks waiting and hoping, I just tested yesterday with the nigthly M6 and could not reproduce this bug anymore.
So I closed it. I will do some further testing next week but looks good so far.
