Commit viewers should link to the History view if "Link with Editor and Selection" is enabled there: Set History view input to the repository and select the commit. "Show In > History" is also not available in a commit viewer. Workarounds I found is to open the Working Tree Version of a file or click the repository label in the commit viewer. That at least feeds the right repo into the History view, but you still have to find the commit manually.

(In reply to Markus Keller from comment #0) > "Show In > History" is also not available in a commit viewer. I've searched the UI several times for any clues how to find the current commit from the commit viewer in the history view. I always ended up copying the SHA1 and doing a search, which isn't convenient. Only today I found that not the commit viewer but the history is able to make the connection. Wouldn't it be nice, cool and easy if the toolbar of the commit viewer allows this, too? It already has a link to the repository, why not a "history" button which puts focus on this commit?
