Description Holger Staudacher CLA 2012-01-10 11:10:39 EST
Today I build a new RT Package with tycho and noticed that the following bundles are included:
org.eclipse.ui
org.eclipse.ui.workbench
org.eclipse.swt

It was pretty annoying because I only depend on Equinox Features. Some analysis showed that the responsible feature that depends on those bundles is the org.eclipse.equinox.core.sdk feature. The feature includes the org.eclipse.equinox.security.ui and org.eclipse.equinox.security.ui.source bundle.

I think the core SDK should not depend on the .ui stuff. My workaround is to add all bundles myself except the security.ui bundle which is pretty bad because I can't receive updates and so on. Fixing this bug for Juno M5 would be very welcome within the Runtime Packaging Project ;)

Cheers Holger

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
