Build Identifier: Version: Indigo Release Build id: 20110615-0604 This is more of a feature request than a bug. In my project, I have a lot of Run Configurations that I'm frequently using for integration testing. If the dropdown exceeds the screen height, then I have to scroll (slowly) through the rest. This could be resolved in many ways 1. Workaround: Open the Run Configurations dialog and choose from there. Scrolling is better there, but that's 3 clicks. 2. New feature: Allow for custom groups in the Run Configurations, which are reflected in the menu structure. 3. Improvement: Let the dropdown have more than one column when the bottom of the screen is reached. I'm not sure if that's easy to do with SWT, though. 4. New feature (?): Allow for adding custom buttons, which only show a subset of Run Configurations (might be connected with 2. custom groups) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: See screenshot
Created attachment 208867 [details] A display of a large list of run targets. Particularly on wide screens, space is wasted horizontally, while vertical space is scarce
Note that you can put the important ones into a favorite list and that you can remove an entry by holding Shift+Ctrl while selecting it in the menu.
The Run Configurations you can see in the screenshots are already from the "favorite list". The non-favorites will be shown further down... :)
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. If the bug is still relevant, please remove the "stalebug" whiteboard tag.
