The PMC gets the final approval on committer elections. Infrequently, it is the act of vetoing an election that draws out missing information that might change the desired result to approval. Also, approved nomination oftentimes run out because the committer is late with paperwork or other reasons. In these cases, a PMC member should be able to resurrect the existing nomination/election results rather than requiring that a new election be run.
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. -- The automated Eclipse Genie.
Hi Wayne, Does this still needs to be implemented in the current version of the PMI? Thanks.
This is a very low priority "nice to have". In practice, we haven't actually needed it. So let's just make it WONTFIX.
