Description ameriviking CLA 2011-12-21 03:26:25 EST
Build Identifier: 20100218-1602

I'm seeing a large number of similar complaints. I'm not behind a firewall, but I'm using McAfee virus software. I can connect to the repository sites with a browser. Tried installing both Galileo and Indigo alternately, several times, same problem. Tried Native and Direct settings. Tried https and http URLs with and without trailing slash (/). Tried clearing and re-entering sites.... I tried everything suggested on several forums. Am I missing something?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Fails withh all of the following...
-Install New Software > Work with (any)
-Software Updates > Find and Install
-Preferences > Install/Update > Available Software sites > (select any) > Test Connection

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
