Description Ankur Trapasiya CLA 2011-12-17 18:59:50 EST
Build Identifier: 20110916-0149

I installed eclipse and tried to use it for android development and other J2EE development. So i had to install plug ins. While downloading plug ins it stops downloading data after certain amount of time. I tried it in windows as well as linux. I am having a very good internet speed also so connection issue is not there. After approximate 40-45 percentage of download it stops downloading and it is shown in the dialogue box that the same file is downloaded again and again.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Check "Install New Software" feature of eclipse and select some plug ins to download.
2.Then start downloading plug ins.
3. If you are fortunate enough then packages will be downloaded and installed successfully but at other time it may not be the case.

Sounds similar to bug 366382, bug 340165 and bug 327256. See those bugs for more comments. Do you see the same behaviour if you run with mirrors turned off?

See Bug 366382 comment 3. You run with a special system property.
