To clear the list completely I had to click lots of checkboxes. I think that the list won't be so long in the future, however "select all" or "delete all" would be useful.
There is "Remove Completed" that does approximately the same as "delete all". Only when you have some tasks running they will not be removed, you have to cancel them first. But still not every task can be canceled, so deleting *ALL* tasks you have in list is not always possible.

Hmm right. I missed that "Remove Completed" completely. When I saw "Delete" next to each task, I just applied the pattern from Navigator, I started selecting tasks and when the "Remove" action appeared in the toolbar I thought I was doing the right thing. It is a minor issue for me, so do what you think is the best here.
I opened Bug 370437 for adding "Select All" to generic explorer.
This is still not done. Anyone if welcome to do this.
Anthony to investigate.
