The refactoring of flexible hierarchy APIs broke the dsf tests plugin build.  The tests need to be updated to use new flexible hierarchy APIs.

Even after the fix, the tests will reference an internal interface, which is not good but kind of necessary as the tests need access to data that regular feature code does not.
