M4 welcome page after opening other view

AS IS:
1 Start Eclipse 4.2 M4 on a fresh workspace.
2 Hit ctrl+3 and type "error" to open "error log view"
3 The error view appears, but welocme page doesn't close or minimize - you see some kind of visual garbage (error view overlapping welcome page).
See attached screenshot (please ignore the error in the error log view, which is unrelated to this bug).

TO BE:
Welcome page should minimize/hide/go into the stack (like in 3.7) after opening other views.

Eric, is this change in behaviour a regression or intentional?
Comment 2 Lars Vogel CLA 2019-11-14 03:11:10 EST
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

If the bug is still relevant, please remove the "stalebug" whiteboard tag.
