Build Identifier: 20110916-0149 In a PHP file with predominantly XHTML content, every Ctrl+Shift+F keystroke causes 4 blank lines to be inserted before each "<?php" directive. There is no configuration option for the number of empty lines so this seems like a major bug to me since each time I ask for an automatic formatting I have to undo some of that formatting. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the attachment using the PHP editor. 2. Move to caret to the line that contains the first occurrence of "<?php" 3. Format the file using Ctrl+Shift+F or your configured shortcut key combination for the formatter.
Created attachment 208217 [details] File for testing the reported bug. This is the source file for the contact page at http://waavsolutions.com/pages/en/contact.php
do you use pdt or zend studio? I could not reproduce it in pdt.
Well, I can no longer reproduce the insertion of blank lines with build 20120216-1857. My Eclipse configuration is JDT+JSDT+PDT+CDT+MercurialEclipse+CUTE, nothing more, nothing less, back when I reported this bug and now. The only thing that happened in the meantime is that I upgraded my Eclipse install. I guess this bugreport can be closed.
