I've tracked MNG-5214 into Aether. Aether is returning a DefaultArtifact that has a pathname of target/classes for attached artifact of type wsdl. This produces a regression.

Reproducible: Always

The only paths directly returned from Aether itself are for files token from the local repository. "target/classes" is a path from the Maven reactor and as such controlled by a WorkspaceReader supplied to Aether. This WorkspaceReader lives in Maven, not Aether.
